Description

Creativity and innovation are important in every career and industry. Software engineers and automobile mechanics need to be creative problem solvers, just as graphic designers and musicians need to be able to come up with new ideas. In this research project students choose a specific career or career field they are interested in. They research this career and complete a profile on it that shows how creativity and innovation are important to it.

One of the key ideas of this EdgeMakers is that creativity and innovation are important in every career and industry. In this research project, students explore this idea in-depth by researching a specific career or career field for examples of how creativity and innovation are used. Students can consider several categories of information from types of jobs to job skills and recent trends. After conducting their research students design a creative presentation to share what they learned with others.
